• Learn about geology and earthquakes as you travel into the center of the San Andreas Fault where you will see the twisted and tormented landscape created by the collision of the Pacific and North American plates.
• Explore a pristine natural palm oasis with crystal clear water bubbling up from the underground aquifer.  Learn how this water makes our desert unique as you enjoy a naturalist guided nature walk through the oasis. 
• Discover how the Cahuilla Indians used the desert's plants and other materials for survival as you tour our Cahuilla Indian Village exhibit which is filled with authentic artifacts and interpretive displays showcasing the culture and lifestyle of the Cahuilla People.
• Step-back in time and experience what life was like in the California desert for early settlers, prospectors, and gold miners as you tour our Pioneer Homestead, Old Mining Camp, and gold mine exhibits and try your hand at gold panning.

Tour Minimums / Maximums:

• This tour has a 2 person minimum.  If you are a single traveler, please call our reservation's desk at 1-888-440-5337 ext. 1 Toll Free or 1-760-324-5337 locally to inquire about joining an existing tour or you may email us and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

• For reservations for 20 guests or more or for smaller groups requiring food and beverage or other special arrangements, please contact our Group Sales Department at (888) 440-5337 ext. 6 toll free or (760) 459-1203 locally.

Tour Advisory:

• Guests with neck, back, or serious injuries and women who are pregnant are advised to consult with their doctor before taking any Jeep Tour.  

Things to Bring:

• Wear closed-toe shoes with rubber soles (such as tennis shoes or hiking boots).  Sandals and shoes with high heels are not recommended.

• Wear comfortable clothing - we recommend you dress in layers as desert temperatures can change quickly.  In the cooler months (November through March), we suggest you bring a light sweater or jacket. 

• Bring a hat and sunglasses and apply sunscreen before the tour.  

• Don't forget your camera or video camera - the photo opportunities are amazing!

Exclusions:

• Guide gratuity is not included but is appreciated.  Suggested gratuity is 10-15%. 

Cancellation Policy:

• There is a 5% cancellation penalty for cancellations received at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure. 

• There is no refund for cancellations received within 48 hours of the scheduled tour departure or for no-shows unless we cancel a tour due to weather or safety issues.

• There is plenty of FREE PARKING in the dirt parking lot.
  

• Complimentary hotel pickup is also available for guest staying in Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, or Indio.

• Hotel pickup from Rancho Mirage is available for an additional charge of $25 per jeep.
