The adventure begins the moment you board your big red jeep and depart on an exciting  jeep eco-tour of the San Andreas Fault!

Travel to a private 840 acre preserve on the San Andreas Fault where you will learn about the desert's plants, animals, history, geology, and earthquakes. 

Journey through a natural palm oasis, spectacular box and slot canyons, and an ancient fossil bed as your jeep winds its way through the incredible labyrinth of geological cuts and canyons of the San Andreas Fault Zone. 

Explore a Cahuilla Indian Village exhibit and Old Mining Camp with Gold Mine Exhibit and Gold Panning.  

As the sun sets, witness the spectacular transition from day to night as the light casts amazing shadows and colors on the hills.  Desert sunsets are magical, so be sure to bring your camera! 

When the sky darkens, you will be treated to a fascinating stargazing journey through the night sky using state-of-the-art "Sky Scouts" and laser light pointers.

NOTE:  This tour departs about 2 1/2 hours before sunset, which changes throughout the summer.  Please call our Tour Reservation's Desk at 760-324-5337 a day or two before your scheduled tour to confirm the exact departure time.

Tour Minimums / Maximums:

• This tour has a 2 person minimum.  If you are a single traveler, please call our reservation's desk at 1-888-440-5337 ext. 1 Toll Free or 1-760-324-5337 locally to inquire about joining an existing tour or you may email tour.resv at red-jeep.com and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

• For reservations for groups or 20 or more guests, please contact our Group Sales Department at (760) 459-1203. 

Tour Advisory:

• Guests with neck, back, or serious injuries and women who are pregnant are advised to consult with their doctor before taking any Jeep Tour.  

Things to Bring:

• Wear closed-toe shoes with rubber soles (such as tennis shoes or hiking boots).  Sandals and shoes with high heels are not recommended.

• Wear comfortable clothing - we recommend you dress in layers as desert temperatures can change quickly.  In the cooler months (November through March), we suggest you bring a light sweater or jacket. 

• Bring a hat and sunglasses and apply sunscreen before the tour.

• Don't forget your camera or video camera and make sure your batteries are charged up and you have plenty of film.

Exclusions:

• Guide gratuity is not included but is appreciated.  Suggested gratuity is 15%.

• There is a 5% cancellation penalty for cancellations received at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure. 

• There is no refund for cancellations received within 48 hours of the scheduled tour departure or for no-shows.

• There is plenty of FREE PARKING in the dirt parking lot.
  

• Complimentary hotel pickup is also available for guest staying in Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, or Indio.

• Hotel pickup from Rancho Mirage is available for an additional charge of $25 per jeep.
